DuraFlex HT (heavy-duty, .012″ wall, 316Ti alloy) requires a wider collar and heavier storm collar to accommodate the thicker wall without crimping. DuraFlex Pro, the commercial-grade line, uses a proprietary locking band that only interfaces with DuraFlex OEM caps or specific aftermarket equivalents we source through Haven’s buying network.

To identify your model: check the label tag at the top of the liner, visible from the firebox with a flashlight, or read the stamp on the existing cap’s collar. If the tag is gone, measure the liner outer diameter with a tape measure, not the flue tile inner diameter, which is the common mistake. A 6″ DuraFlex liner measures roughly 6.25″ OD; an 8″ measures 8.3″. Guessing wrong means a return trip and a second sealant application.

Signs Your DuraFlex Chimney Cap Is Failing
